The Origins
Starting his journey from a remote village in Satara, Dhananjay was born into a poor family but large family. His parents and siblings were uneducated and used to doing manual labor for their living. Dhananjay, too helped his parents from a very young age to support their economic condition.
The hardships that he faced at this young age shaped his resolve to rise above difficulties and create a name for himself. Even during his school time, he used to work before and after school hours to support his family without compromising on his studies. He was exceptional at his academics and always topped the class. This dual nature of his life, i.e., academics and education on one end and a life of a manual laborer, toughened up his steely nature. In his words, “I saw the realities of life up close at a very young age. Starting my day at 5 am to finish my first work shift by 10 am so that I could walk 5 miles to school. Such things leave a deep impression on your life.”
